Able Skills can offer you the opportunity to undertake our carpentry courses on a part time basis at weekends.
Carpenters and joiners are required to prepare build and install a wide range of wood products including doors windows floors walls staircases and roof trusses. During a typical 10-week Workwork or Carpentry course you should expect to learn the basic skills from measuring and planing wood to cutting a range of joints and finally sanding and finishing the final product as you complete a small project. Whether you are looking to achieve qualifications or just want to gain some DIY skills weekend training is certainly an option for you to consider.
You might even save a bit of money into the bargain. There will be a mix of practical and theoretical work which are split into 1 hour - 145 hour lessons. Weekend training is also available to complete this course.

Able Skills can offer you the opportunity to obtain a City Guilds certificate in carpentry. This Woodwork class is held on a Tuesday night from 630-830pm for 10 weeks. This 10 day carpentry course is aimed at giving you the skills to complete a number of first and second fix site carpentry jobs such as building stud walls at different angles and with openings install door frames and hanging doors including fixing all furniture boxing in pipework building and fixing meter boxes cutting and fixing skirting and architrave building a window sill and installing laminate flooring.
