How To Paint Cracked Wood

How to paint cracked wood. To ensure the surface of your wood is level use a putty knife to fill any holes or cracks with a spackling paste. Brush one coat only of flat latex or acrylic paint over the crackle medium or glue. Apply the filler material using the tip of a putty knife or hand trowel then go over it with the flat edge to smooth it.
Brush your top coat on lightly to get thin cracks and brush on a heavy coat to get large cracks. Coat the wooden column with a primer paint using a paintbrush to apply the primer. If you dont have a vacuum wipe off the dust or residue with a tack cloth finishing off with a damp cloth.
